Tails, Tires, and Tunes!

A day to remember! Tails, Tires and Tunes!
On Saturday March 16th we had the pleasure of attending the 2nd annual Tails, Tires, and Tunes was held in Logansport, LA. Presented by Boo’s Battle support fund. The weather was great with some much welcomed sunshine. It was like the day was picked for this event. The nearly 300 guests in attendance were treated to a car show with 41 entry’s that lined the Riverwalk parking area. Children and adults walked around amazed at the variety of cars, from new to classics all were on display. Some families took a break from the car show to enjoy the bounce houses and playground by the river walk. Others worked up an appetite and purchased 900 lbs of Crawfish, 100 hamburgers, and 65 sausages on a stick. There was no admission to the event, and $15,308 was raised for the fund.

According to the organization; “Boo’s Battle Support Fund was created in loving memory of Brandi “Boo” Mills and her brave battle with stage IV metastatic breast cancer. At the young age of 28, and with two young boys to look after, she started her fight against cancer. After two years and a long courageous battle, she went to be with the Lord. In her memory, family and friends from near and far have come together as one to help families and individuals suffering from cancer. Through hard work and sponsorship the support fund has been able to help quite a few families in the Shelby County and Desoto Parish areas. All funds collected through fundraisers and donations are directly distributed to families. one day we hope to be able to help people in other counties, parishes, and States. We rely on our sponsors to help us fund our events, that way every dime we make goes back into our communities. This is how we remain 100% NON-PROFIT!”

When speaking to Amanda Kirby, Boo’s sister she said “Joaquin has set June 27th as Boos Battle day, that’s the anniversary of my sisters death and that’s the date our family decided to go with when they came to us and asked us! This community has been amazing and I know she’s for sure smiling down.”
